Wyoming Arts Development Institute (WyADI) is a 501c3 born out of a simple but urgent need: connection.
Living and working in rural Wyoming, we saw firsthand how many artists, arts educators, and small creative organizations were struggling—not due to lack of talent or passion, but because they didn’t know where to turn for resources, funding, or guidance. Many didn’t even know what was available or how to access it.
What changed everything was connection. By reaching out beyond our own community, we discovered a world of tools, best practices, and sustainable strategies. It became clear, if we could bring that knowledge home and make it accessible, we could lift up the entire creative economy in our region.
WyADI was created to do just that—to build bridges between artists, educators, and institutions. We aim to prevent burnout, strengthen leadership, and create lasting sustainability through targeted education and professional development. When artists are empowered, the industry as a whole becomes more professional, more resilient, and more impactful.
Now more than ever, rural arts communities need tools, training, and connection. That’s what WyADI is here to offer.
WyADI is open to artists, educators, and community members who are passionate about strengthening the arts in Wyoming. Whether you’re just starting your creative journey or looking to deepen your impact, we welcome diverse voices and experiences.
What matters most is your interest in collaboration, learning, and building sustainable creative opportunities in our region.
Those interested in becoming members should reach out to the Executive Director, Jennifer Wilkins contact@wyadi.org, and plan to attend a board meeting to learn more about our mission and current initiatives.
Our members are makers, creatives, performers, nonprofit leaders/volunteers, and educators who believe that by working together, we can create lasting change in Wyoming’s arts landscape.
